Meet the Experts
Jeremy Hewitt is a Jacksonville native and graduate of Terry Parker High School. After spending the first decade of his career with BellSouth/AT&T, Jeremy discovered a passion for land surveying and began pursuing a new professional path in 2013.
He earned his degree in Geomatics Engineering from the University of Florida in 2017 and became a licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper in 2022. Throughout his career, Jeremy has worked with several respected surveying firms, gaining experience in a wide variety of projects and developing a strong commitment to accuracy, problem-solving, and client service.
Jeremy’s interest in maps and geography began at a young age, making surveying a natural fit once he discovered the profession. Today, he enjoys helping clients and project teams navigate complex land and boundary matters with confidence.
Outside of work, Jeremy enjoys following sports, playing music, collecting vinyl records, and spending time with his wife, Mary, and his daughter, Paisley. He is excited to be part of the team and looks forward to continuing his career with an organization he is proud to call home.

Kevin Nelson brings over two decades of robust, hands-on experience in land surveying and civil construction to the River City Surveying team. Known for his technical adaptability and sharp problem-solving skills, Kevin operates as a highly proficient Field Crew Chief with extensive expertise in residential, commercial, and heavy infrastructure surveying. He is deeply skilled in cutting-edge geospatial technology, possessing advanced knowledge of JAVAD GNSS Base/Rover setups, Topcon systems, and the FDOT network to ensure absolute data precision.
Kevin’s impressive project history spans from high-volume title surveys and elevation certificates to major civil operations—including precision construction layouts for the Jacksonville Courthouse interior, the St. Johns River Industrial Port, and miles of critical FDOT roadway and overpasses. A motivated self-starter and true team player, Kevin thrives in challenging field environments, consistently delivering accurate, efficient results that keep projects moving forward on schedule.
